– 1 1/2 cups (355 ml) warm water – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) active dry yeast – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sugar – 3 1/2 cups (420 g) all-purpose flour – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil – 1 1/2 teaspoons (9 g) salt

Gather your ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let stand for 5 minutes, or until the yeast is foamy.

Add the flour, olive oil, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir it until a dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a large bowl that has been lightly oiled. Cover with a damp towel and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.

Place the dough balls on a lightly floured surface and cover with a damp towel. Let rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

On a lightly floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a 12-inch circle.

Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet that has been lightly oiled.

Top with your favorite pizza toppings and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Enjoy your homemade Pizza!
